As a resident of Thailand it seems unlikely that any positive actions can be taken as the issue is deeply wrapped up in the manipulation of Thai public opinion by most of the political groups currently active. It has become a cause celebre also as some senior Thai politicians are currently jailed in Cambodia for entering the disputed area. Makes it challenging to visit Preah Vihear at this time.
